Postcard Project
2020 - 2021
In the middle of the quarantine lockdown in 2020 and 2021, I tried to find a meaningful way to stay connected with my close friends and family. With social distancing in full effect, I wanted to reach out in a personal, tangible way that would express my love and remind them they were in my thoughts.
This led to the creation of a series of hand painted postcard sets, each featuring 12 postcards in different color schemes. When arranged together, the cards in each set would form a single cohesive image, like a puzzle, representing the idea that even though we were physically separated, we were still intricately connected. Each recipient received one postcard from a set, linking them with the others — a small but powerful reminder that love and connection can transcend distance.
This project was my way of sending a little piece of myself to those I missed, offering a sense of togetherness in a time when interaction was limited. It was my way of showing that, even from afar, I loved them and was always thinking of them.
These postcard sets became my absolutely favorite personal project and I hope to create more in the future when time allows.
