Postcard Project
2020 - 2021

I started this project back in 2020 during the quarantine as a way to stay connected with all my close friends and family. Since social distancing was very much a thing, I wanted to send personalized painted postcards as a way to remind my loved ones how much I missed them all and that they were always in my thoughts.

After the first set, I knew I wanted to make more and it eventually led to a whole series of painted postcard sets that I continued throughout the lockdown and into 2022. Each set was painted as one cohesive image over 12 individual postcards that could be arranged like a puzzle. Every puzzle piece postcard was sent to a different household and was meant to convey the the idea that even though we were all physically separated, we were still connected. The postcards were my way of linking everyone together - a small piece of me that I could gift as a visual reminder of the power of love and its ability to transcend distances.

I LOVED creating these postcards sets and hope to make more when time allows.
